Monday morning doodle

Ugh… I was trying to do this every night and didn’t keep up. I might have to do this only a few times a week because I just don’t have time after work every night. I will get back to the log of ideas people requested sometime this week. Here is a quicky doodle of Sagat I did this morning while playing with the new CS5 stuff. I don’t think the new “natural media” brushes are mind blowing but maybe I don’t know how to use them correctly.

Call me crazy if you want… I believe the moon is inhabited by space pickles. The war between spicy and sweet dills has been going on long before humans existed on earth and will continue long after!

My sister asked me to do something with a donut. Here is a homicidal maple bar with sprinkles! Tomorrow night is for Joe’s suggestion of “The Moon”. I am hoping next time to get something with an environment and a character but an hour goes by so damn fast!

I asked Tasha what I should paint tonight and she said “something tropical”. I set my alarm for 1 hr and about 30 mins in I scratched what I had started. I should have just kept going on what I had to try and make it work but that will probably come with more of these speed paints. It is frustrating and enlightening at the same time while you race against the clock and learn to trust your self.

Did this earlier this morning. It was fun to just go as fast as I can on a single layer. There is plenty of slop, cuts and overall junk but I am happy I spent the time to do it. I am going to try and spend at least an hour a day doing a speed paint. This one was about 1.5hrs but it could have been less if I was a bit more awake!

I just got my Cintiq setup at home (FINALLY!) but the colors are way off between my Acer lcd and the Cintiq. I need to figure out how to get parity between the two. Does this look completely blown out to you? Let me know!
